Training 2/21 to 2/27

2/21 Monday: 20 miles in 139 minutes (6:57 pace) (Garmin)

Long run from home. Started out pretty easy and let the run come to me. Ran a loop out past Crystal Lake and then over to "America's Stonehenge" and then up Providence Hill Road. I actually felt pretty good. My last 6 miles were all 6:35 or better, with the last two at 5:48 and 5:42.

2/22 Tuesday: 8 miles in 61 minutes

Easy running on the treadmill at home. Felt OK, better than I expected after putting in 20 miles yesterday.

2/23 Wednesday: 10 miles in 73 minutes

Treadmill running at home. Felt pretty good.

2/24 Thursday: 12 miles in 80 minutes (Garmin)

Ran from the Whirlaway with Jim Johnson and Dan Vassallo. Felt pretty good and it was actually a pretty nice night out for a run.

2/25 Friday: 8 miles in 60 minutes

Easy treadmill run at home. Felt OK.

2/26 Saturday: 6 miles in 42 minutes

Checked out the Frozen Shamrock 3 mile course today. Just in case I don't make it out to Amherst tomorrow. Felt pretty good, did 6 x 20 second strides towards the end of the run.

2/27 Sunday: 18 miles in 120 minutes

Went out to Amherst for the Jones Group Realtors 10 Mile Road Race. I did 3 miles of warm up, 10 miles in 56:12 (results), 5 miles cool down. Course was a mess with the snow last night, but it was still good for a nice hard run! Race report will be posted soon!

Total Miles: 82 miles

Good week of running! Got in the miles and got in a very solid race.
